Hibiscus moscheutos

The swamp rose mallow is increasingly found in gardens in our country, whether in pots or planted in gardens or along street frontages. It can reach a height of 1-1.5 m. Its foliage consists of alternate leaves of various shapes (broadly ovate, lanceolate) and colors (green, burgundy), with serrated edges, downy undersides, and sometimes 3-5 lobes. It is deciduous. Its flowers are about 15-25 cm in diameter and bloom in shades of creamy white, pink, burgundy and red from July to September. It grows well in a sunny spot and well-structured, nutrient-rich soil. It has high water needs and likes moist soil. It can be planted perfectly as a specimen plant, as its shape and large flowers can play a decisive role in creating the mood and overall look of the garden.
